What happens near the end?

My Dad has had a relapse. The doctors have said there is nothing more they can do and to get hospice. I have found only one book that describes what happens near the end. I have heard that PC is terrible near the end. I am looking for resources to give us info to make it less terrible and would appreciate any ideas.

Sorry to be so gloomy. For many of you just starting this journey, please be aware that my father has had PC on and off for 15 years. The Da Vinci procedure was not an option for him when he was diagnosed. He has survived and lived better than we ever hoped and he has lived well. I believe that those who have been diagnosed in the last few years will live long lives. New technologies and drugs will make that possible.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Duke's Kid,

Bridget
