Spreading of Colon Cancer

Quick question - My dad was diagnosed in 5/02. Since then, his cancer has only come back in his liver. According to the oncologist today, he believes that the cancer will never go beyond his liver (back to colon, lungs, etc...) since it has been almost 5 years since diagnosis. Has anyone else received a similar message from a doctor?

    quick reply; I'm going on six years with crc mets to lungs-so far as I know, the cancer hasn't spread to any other location. No comments from the Dr.. Bud

    I'm not far enough out yet for any discussion....I so far have not had any mets on either cancer..
