My name is Russell, I am new to this site. I was just wanting to say hello, and tell you a bit about myself. I think this is the proper thing to do? I have read many of the comment and replys as I waited 2 weeks to get logged on. I am here now and hope I can help and be helped. I was diagnoised in July 04 with stage 3 colon cancer and had surgery to remove the tumor started chemo and radiation finished all treatment in March of 05. No cancer as of now but still have some issues. But doing well. |

Re: Hello everyone
Welcome to the semi-colons, Russell! I am glad you are doing well and dancing with NED (No Evidence of Disease). It is good to hear of folks who are out a couple of years or more! Tell us more about what issues you are still dealing with.
I was diagnosed in June this year and had a resection on July 6. Been doing chemo as part of a study because I am considered stage II.
Welcome to the board.

Welcome Russell,
If you have been watching this site for a while then you know what we are all about, and that is, comfort, caring, listening and sharing information about our disease.
We are all ears and hearts and ready to help in any way we can.
Take care,

Hi Russell,
Welcome and congratulations on coming up on 2 years NED. I had my 2 year anniversary about a month ago. It is a huge milestone, so I have been told. I understand though about still having issues. I think we all "have issues". It is hard to go through something like this unscathed. I think it is impossible.
But, here we are, surviving! Let us know what you need.
That is what this group is here for.
Take care,
Susan H.

Welcome Russell,
Glad to year you're doing well. I'm here for stage 2 colon cancer, but my dad was diagnosed with advanced stage III colon cancer 6 years ago and he's doing well after surgery and chemo. Thought it might help you to hear that.

Hi Russell, and welcome. You have come to the right place. Everyone on here is so great. I was totally lost until I found this group of people!
My mom has stage 4 colon cancer. She is doing really well! She had a lot of "issues", too. It was a very long, hard summer. But, as I've said-you have come to the right place.
Congrats on the 2 yr mark. That is wonderful news.

Hi Russell!
Welcome to the semi-colons! I'm sure you never knew we had our own club?? This is a GREAT place and I'm glad you found us. I haven't looked yet but I hope you did a webpage so we can all get "caught up" on how you are doing. And of course CONGRATS on the NED status!
