Hi Guys.
Boy, yesterday I was feeling so powerful and optimistic. Today.... I went for my CT today and tomorrow go for bloodwork etc and have the big talk with the oncologist. I find out exactly where it is. I'm scared. My nausea has dissapated, but i have pain in my gut. I pray for good news.
anyone have it in the GI? tell me about your symptoms etc.
blessings.

    Hello 3graces,
Believe me when I say that this is probably the scariest period of your new venture to kill the Beast. Not knowing exactly what's going on, the feelings of having no control over what your body's going through, the panic- it's enough to overwhelm almost any normal person. Try to relax (easy for me to say), take a few deep breaths, hug a loved one, and try and get a good night's rest. Tomorrow you'll meet with your onc, have the most important questions answered, and you and your Doc will work out a plan together to get started with whatever needs to be done. Once you have a plan you'll feel a lot better and can start to set goals, and you'll get some of that control back. You asked about symptoms. I don't know if that's too important at this point. Whatever they are got you to the Doc, and now you can begin to treat the problem. As to the future symptoms, I'll almost guarantee you that one or more of us on this site have experienced them, and can offer lots of advice as well as just sharing so that we don't feel so all alone with this thing.

let us know what the Doc says, and don't forget to take a pen and paper with you so that you can write stuff down. In this high anxiety time you'll forget half of what they say to you if you don't write some things down. Good luck tomorrow, let us know what's going on. Regards,....Carl

    Hi -

I wish you the best and echo what Carl says. This is the scariest time. So, write things down, go home, digest what you can and don't hesitate to make another appointment with your oncologist - you can only take in so much at one time. That's what I did and I felt so much more ready to cope after I had the second appointment and was able to ask more specific questions based upon having digested the first round of information.

    Good luck. Keep us posted.

Getting the information of what is there, while scary, makes you relax some and allows a plan for treatment to be formulated. Be sure to take someone else with you who also will take notes. Then review them later so that you can ask more questions if needed.

I know exactly how you feel. I am still very scared and anxious about my cancer and treatment, but having someone walk the path with you helps out soooo much. God and my husband have joined me in my treatment walk and I am very thankful.

For some reason I cannot explain, I turned back to God and the church. Had not entered a church for worship for 20+ years. Cry everytime I attend, can't explain.

Find something that makes you happy or feel good and stay with it.

Keep everyone here informed of the outcome.

    HUGS AND KISSES
