Lisa,
I am sorry to hear about the loss of your mother, but happy that she is at peace. The memories of her will always live forever inside of you. Yes, this disease is horrible and I pray that there will be a cure for it someday soon. Thank you for sharing your story.
God bless you,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. As I read your story, I can only think of how proud your mom must have been to have raised such a loving and closely-knit family. I hope you find strength in each day, and realize how important every day is.
Take care,
Stacy

Lisa,
That is so beautiful. I am very happy for you that you and mom got to experience the 'healing' part of the end of the journey. Your mom was obviously a very special person, and see what an incredible daughter she has!
It is not our place to question who does or doesn't foil the beast....and what it means to be victorious. As far as I am concerned, your mom WAS victorious....because although cancer was a part of her life, it was only a part....THAT is the secret.
I am certain that there is a better place, where your mom now sits and smiles proudly down at her daughter.
You have touched me very deeply with your post. Thank you.

Lisa,
Your post brought tears to my eyes since your mom passed shortly before my dad. She sounds like a wonderful person and she was lucky to have such a warm loving family around her at the end. Like my dad I believe she is up there watching over us and hopefully putting in a good word for all of us here on this board. I know it is hard to say but she is in a better place even though we miss them so much and will continue to do so for a long time. I try to take heart in all the good memories.
