I said goodbye today

Today was the memorial service for my brain cancer friend. I learned many things about him, that I never knew. He was a kind, gentle man. I will miss him.
I got up to share my words, and I heard myself say "I thought I was the one giving the support and encouragement, but really it was he to me". As my life continues to unfold, I am sure I will come on hard things like today, but I can also celebrate the life that was (his), and is(my own, made richer by knowing him).
Hugs,
Kathi

    Hi Kathi:

Every loss only makes me appreciate more the fight that we fight, and the 2nd chance that we are given. Living everyday to its fullest doesn't sound trite at all any more.

I read a cute saying somewhere that says "Life is short, eat dessert first!" The low-sugar kind only, of course.

    Cheers,
    Ying

Well said, Kathi. Just remember: everything for a reason according to the Plan.

We are all blessed to have each other.

    Peace

    Kathi,

I am so sorry that you had to say goodbye to someone that you cared so much about. That is never an easy thing to do, but it sounds like your memories of your friend have gotten you through your grief. I will never understand why bad things happen to good people.

    God bless,

    -Lee-

As the ship floated toward the other side those left behind said, "He is leaving! He is leaving!" And a great cry of joy went up from the other side and the others yelled, "Here he comes! Here he comes!"

One day he'll greet you, Kathi, on the other side.

    Hugs....
