They do exist! I have been trying for 4 years now to get a colonoscopy due to my family history. Only to get shunned away due to my age(32) or the fact i had no insurance and simply could not afford it. I had posted on the Colon cancer Alliance board and i got a response from a lady whom sent me this addy....... www.figgtree.com They help out with colon cancer treatments, screening and other needs associated with it. I called Tammy, the lady whom runs the foundation and within a day she set my colonsocopy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I go in on Sept. 12th at 8 am! I guess my never ending searching has paid off! I am so happy I am about to burst! Please all of you that need assisstance or anything visit this website or give her a call. She is a pleasure to talk with! All my Best, Danielle

    Hi Danielle,

I'm so glad that you finally found a way to get tested. I have added this to my favorites in case someone else has this issue, we can tell them. Doing the happy dance here since I was so worried about you. Here are good vibes that all is negative on Sept 12th!!!

Thanks for posting this important information Danielle; there are altogether too many deaths from crc in people much younger than yourself. The statistics don't lie. I am much older, but would not be here-(stage IV) if my physician had
not advised that I didn't need a colonoscopy. Bud

Wonderful news! That's awesome. See, your persistance paid off. I know you will have so much more peace of mind once your test is overwith. If you request to be heavily/ yet partially sedated, you can actually watch them give you the colonoscopy and ask questions as they go. That way you'll know if they find a polyp, whereas if you are totally knocked out you will not know. I prefer the former. Anyway......it's kinda fun cause the drugs are awesome! LOL. Well, best of luck to you and please, please let us know how it goes.
I am glad you found CCA. They are a great group too.
    Take care,
    Susan.

There is no doubt about it. Mine was my baby-sister who is small in stature but whose heart and soul carried me through. Thank God for her!
