I am 26, I just had my reconstruction done two days ago after having a bilaterial mesectomy. When I went in for my preop they found another cyst, I will not find out for a couple weeks if the cancer returned or not. If there is anyone out there that can be a friend or maybe fill my head with better thoughts, I would greatly appreciate it. To all of you out there, my prayers are with you.

OK, Sweetie we are going to send you the best possible, strongest good feelings. Do something fun for yourself. You are so young. This is so unfair. Now, you are young and strong and can fight this. Worse case - it's a local recurrence. Think of that as a weed - they will just remove it, and you'll be good to go. Best case - it's a cyst. I had never had a breast cyst, but when I was having chemo, I felt this tiny lump in my breast. I freaked out and was sent for an immediate mammogram. It was just a benign cyst and has since disappeared. I'm so going to be hoping for the same for you.

Write to me if you like. I'm always available.

    Hugs.

I'm betting on the benign cyst....no big deal...
OK, here goes on the better thoughts (since worrying will change absolutely NOTHING except your smile!).....
Imagine, I woke up after surgery with a 'pool' of blue dye (about the size of a 50 cent piece) from the node detection phase of my surgery. When my radioncologist (a VERY conservative man) saw it, he said "Did you get into a fight or something...how did you get bruised THERE???". I told him no, that I had heard I was getting tatooed, so I thought I would get a head start on it. HE responded "Well, even if we tatoo, it's not like we will do an ANIMAL or anything...." His nurse and I STILL laugh about it at each visit (AFTER he leaves the room of course...hehehehehe).
Prayers and good vibes back at you!
    Hugs, Kathi

    Seraphima,
    I will be 29 next month....again! (29+29=58) TeeHee.
I was diagnosed the FIRST time with breast cancer when I was 38.....the SECOND time just before I turned 40. I am still here sweetie and you will be too at this time in your life, God willing.
God is bigger than cancer and you are stronger than you think you are. Whatever he asks us to do, he empowers us to do.
    God bless and keep you.

We will all include you in our good thoughts and prayers. Hopefully it will be a cyst and you will be home free. Try to keep busy until you get your results. I have found that if I keep busy... it tends to keep my mind from running away from me. Some how your mind can always make it out to be worse than it is. So go to the Mall..go to the lake.. the pool.... anywhere except for an empty house. Take care... Hoping for speedy great results.

    Take Care... God Bless

i would think that it is just a cyst. i had to have 2 biopsies done on the same breast that i had just finished treatments on just six months after radiation. i was a complete wreck!! after waiting 1 1/2 weeks for results i found out that there were a couple of cysts & NOT cancer!! praying helped me - alot!! also this site - i've received alot of encouragement here. don't think the worst unless you have to!! we're all here for you, and hoping the best for you. :-) kat
