Medical Supplies

Hi all, I'm not sure if anyone can help me, but here's my dilemma. I have 2 boxes of medical supplies from when Scott was doing chemo...Saline, Heparin, syringes, alcohol swabs, IV tubing, etc. Does anyone know where I might be able to donate these supplies, or put me into contact with someone? I also have meds (Zofran & Reglan) which Scott needed for vomiting and acid reflux. Everything is sterile and unopened.

The home nurses said I can contact our local vets offices, but they'll just turn around and charge people for it. I would like to see someone use them that maybe doesn't have insurance or something similar. Thanks for your help.

Linda

PS: I booked my flight and room. Can't wait til April 27th.

    Hi Linda.

The only thing I could think of is a clinic or something. Lots of times they just throw stuff like that out, because it isn't coming from the manufacturer. Liability, ya know.

Nice of you to think of others.

Have a wonderful time in Austin. Wish I could be there.

I cannot answer your question, but I think it's really nice of you to be thinking of how you can help others, especially after all you have been through. You're a good person ... the world could use a lot more people like you.

    Linda -

You're awesome for donating those supplies. If the Bahlmore ACS can't help you out, I'd bet there is a free clinic in town (read as "downtown) that would accept your donation - I'd be happy to ride shotgun with you and be your security guard when you deliver it!

    Cheers
