Thank you so much for your information, it really helps to hear positive stories during this very difficult, in fact the most difficult time of my life. I have a large family that is supportive but I have a health care background so I attend every appointment etc.. My father will start the same chemo regimen as you did on Oct. 14. The interesting thing with my father is that he does not have any symptoms other than the occasional shortness of breath. He is living his life normally and without any problems. The doctors will also be giving him medication prior to chemo for stomach upset and nausea. He will have a baseline CT scan done and then another one after his first treatment. I am nervous but I have a lot of hope, I know that is important. We are very religious and believe our faith will guide us through this. Thanks again and I will keep you posted.
