This is some info I got when I googled "Avastin Dosage",It took me to this website: http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic3/avastin_ids.htm. You could also try to just google "Avastin" and get information directly from the pharmaceutical company. Good luck, Regine
INDICATIONS AND USAGE
AVASTIN, used in combination with intravenous 5-fluorouracilÃÂbased chemotherapy, is indicated for first-line treatment of patients with metastatic carcinoma of the colon or rectum.

The recommended dose of AVASTIN is 5 mg/kg given once every 14 days as an IV infusion until disease progression is detected.
AVASTIN therapy should not be initiated for at least 28 days following major surgery. The surgical incision should be fully healed prior to initiation of AVASTIN.

There are no recommended dose reductions for the use of AVASTIN. If needed, AVASTIN should be either discontinued or temporarily suspended as described below.

Hi Regine, can I ask you to check the quantity and units again please, as I am getting quoted in milligrams not millilitres, and the vials are sized either 100 or 400 not 4, many thanks, Jim.rwkeach said:Hi,
I checked on my insurance's website and they pay US$ 585.00 for a 4ml vial. Hope this helps.

Hi -
I just had my second Avastin treatment I get 400mg - 4 mL of 100mg/mL solution.
Not sure what my insurance company pays, but that is often all about negotiated rates anyway.
I checked DRUGSTORE.COM and found the following prices:
1 4mL vial - $653.13
3 4mL vials - $1856.25
So, it isn't cheap. Hope this helps.

this is an eyeopener for me, as I am paying $1660 for a 4ml vial here in the UK, and I cannot buy it directly, it has to come from a hospital or pharmacy, what a rip off. thanks,
Jim.
