Well hello and I don't post often but I had my May visit w/ my favorite oncologist, and DR. read the CT scan I had in April and it states,"No Evidence of Disease" NED that is right.
SO I did that days chemo thinking my PICC line would come right out afterwards, but no deal, and he wants to do one more chemo. That would make a complete 10 cycle, so I suppose I have to do June, but really don't want to: But will do what my DR says I suppose, (still thinking on that), Anyhow my family kept asking is it in remission or gone or what? and hell I forgot to ask. Just love the nurses and all so just did May's chemo and so I suppose I need to see what is up, plus ask about that ugly colonoscopy test I am sure I need. Ya know I never have had one, being a 44 yr old and they found first tumor my accident, so that'll need to be done, I am sure.
But I guess they want to keep an eye on me too, see how the chemo did etc, since I have done chemo-therapy 2 times now one yr apart.
BUt I wanted to share my story because there are good ones that come along with the bad. I feel very blessed and do feel too good, and look too good etc, to be sick with this cancer plus chemo wasn;t too bad this time alittle but tolorated it better this time. Avastin it is good!!
So THanks for letting me share my thoughts and I still want to go to Vegas, just haven't found out what to do yet, ya know plans, kids & all..
God bless you all LOve AMY

    Amy,
What good news!!! Words I am longing to hear for myself.
Just wanted to tell you that when I went for a second opinion in Boston, the onc there told me that once Cat scan shows NED he would recommend further chemo to wipe up all those microscopic cells that can't be seen. Sounds like that's your onc's plan too.

Yeeehaaa Amy!! I'm so happy for you!! Love that NED! Yes... It's a good idea to be watched and continue to be teasted and screened. Like Maura, I'll burst into happy tears when I hear it... and I really don't think it's that far off in my future. Relish and embrace the thought NED! Inspiring to read! Hugggs and health! ~ Wanda
