Radiation side effects - many years down the road

My mom had nhl when she was in her early 20's. She is now 57. The last few years she has developed hearing problems, degenerative disc disease, her eyesight has declined, she had cancer of the tongue (she never smoked), and had a blockage in her upper arm area that led to a by-pass. I think that this is all the result of her getting radiation when she was younger and they didn't know how strong it needed to be to get rid of the cancer. Has anyone heard of this happening or knows where I can get more information on it? Your response is appreciated. She has recently started to feel dizzy again and this is what led to her needing to have a by-pass. I'm afraid her doctors aren't treating her properly.

Hi, my sisterin law had hodgekins disease at 17, she was given 72 colbalt treatments. she is now 47. all her life she has had problems and now she is finding out that her problems are a result of her treatments 30 years ago. None of the nurses know anything about this treatment and hardly any of the doctors. she had her treatments at Staniford Medical Center in Palo Alto ca. Yet nobody there seems to have any info on how to treat the side effects of these treatments. do you know anyone? Help
