I have had 2 cycles of chemo (cisplatin) and this last cycle has taken me to the ground. The worst part of it is this horrible taste in my mouth, I cannot explain it to anyone. This is day 8 of the 2nd cycle and it's as bad as day 2. Does anyone have any recommendations on what they do to help with this? I don't want to eat or drink. It's just horrible. |

Re: Horrible taste after chemo
Hi, What worked for me was warm 7-up, and drinking it with a straw. I think the straw was the key for me. What also worked for me was eating food that was easy to swallow. Like sherbet and ice cream with fruit in it. They were very refreshing. I hope this helps. Good luck with your treatment, and hang in there. Luann
