lumpy breasts in tumor breast

I had a lumpectomy in April and a axillary node dissection in May and am in the middle of chemo treatment. I haven't checked my breasts until now, thinking that I couldn't get a recurrence so soon, with all the treatment I'm having. But I've just noticed that I have lumps on the outer left breast - the tumor was on on the inside and lumps going up along the side of the armpit. My 'normal' breasta does not feel like this? I will mention it to the oncologist on Thursday when I see him, but meanwhile I am worried sick. Anyone else experienced this, and was it 'normal' lumpiness?

Not sure if this is a possibility, but could these lumps be scar tissue? Does that happen with breast srgery? Or can it be a fluid cyst from surgery or treatment? I wouldnt think cancer could return during treatment.

Sounds like it's probably scar tissue from the axillary node dissection. It's always best to check it out, but that would be my guess. I'm two years out and still have VERY hard areas near the dissection. Keep us posted - Diane
