Accurancy of Upper GI Series Test

Was anybody given a normal/negative result on an Upper GI when in reality they did have cancer. I'm trying to find out just how accurate are these tests. I recently had one done and altough it came back normal I still don't feel well. I'm do for an endoscopy soon but I want peace of mind by thinking that it is not cancer and if it were that the Upper GI would have caught it. Any info would be greatly appreciate it.

No test is 100% reliable, but the fact that nothing was found in your GI series should give you every reason to be hopeful. Hopefully the endoscopy will confirm the news from your Upper GI. I hope that the reason for your not feeling well is found soon and is something easily treated. Blessings on your journey
