fertility after Hodgkin's

I was diagnosed with HD when I was 12. I am now 32. I received chemo and radiation. I was told that I would probably be infertile. I was on birth control pills since I was 20 and really never thought about my infertility. Last year, my husband and I decided to try to get pregnant. I went off the pill and that month I got pregnant. Easy as that. I am now the mother of a beautiful 5 month old baby girl. You never know how things will work out.

I am a 47yo male who completed ABVD/RT for HD a year and a half ago. I was told to expect to be infertile. My wife and I are expecting our 1st child, a girl, in 3 weeks. Yes, "you never know." :)

I cannot tell you how happy I am to have found your testimonials! Based on the size of the mass in my chest, my doctor admitted me, did all the testing and at the end of that week, I was getting my first dose of chemo. The doctors told us to expect to be infertile and honestly, that has been the biggest barrier for me going through this. Both my husband and I were worried and frustrated because we had been trying for children then I was diagnosed in January. Your stories give me hope and I can't thank you enough!
