Besides all the wonderful things you nurses do for us in your normal duties, try to watch for signs of depression. It hits all of us. Many of us hide it very well because we don't want to upset our loved ones anymore than we already have. I have found this to be a much more serious problem than us survivors would like to speak about. Maybe the suggestion of a clergy person or someone else of a non-clinical nature to have more of a chit-chat than a psychological exam.
We all, as survivors, thank God for you wonderful people who take such great care of us. You are appreciated!!!!!
