My family had a somewhat similar experience 1998. My dad had gone to the doctors complaining of tiredness and ache in his side. Doc kept saying that there was nothing they could find in the blood tests and that he should go home, several times over,etc. Since he was 79 yrs of age they just said it was part of aging even though symptoms did not go away. He had lost weight and did not have the usual energy. (dad had this doc for many years so would or should have known him pretty well) He collapsed one day in August and rushed to ER. Finally diagnosed with PC. Pretty advanced by then. I agree with pam, docs needing to use the tests that are available to them early on. I still get disgusted when I think about it.
I am sorry to hear of your loss. VEry difficult to be in the eye of a storm. God bless u
