Diagnosed with Stage III colon cancer in September, 2001. The results of my LFT drawn on Tuesday came back 1.7 after having been well within the normal range since diagnosis. I suspect that this is bad news. Any feedback?

Hi Secondchance48,The chemo they use on colon cancer is hell on livers, don't worry until they do a pet or cat scan. I'm 5 years post stage 3 ,6pos nodes ,high grade tumour, I have no sign of recurrence but my liver is always swollen and a lot of the time it makes me feel quite off.Good luck Ron.

I'm Stage lll also, lymph pos. Have you tried detoxing your liver? Everything I read about long term cancer survival involves detoxifying our systems--especially the liver since everything filters through there. It's worth a try, eh?

How does one go about detoxing a liver? I had colon cancer surgery in e3arly 2001 and 7 months of chemo. Now my liver function is quite high. Please give me any info you have on this. Thanks.
