I think it's about time we all just got used to the new layput & got back to what is realy important which is listening to each other & helping each other. We have all wasted so much precious energy on complaints I think. Anyway I am now going back to focussing on beating this disease. I see oncologist on Thursday & hopefully markers will be down again & I can start 4th cycle of Xeloda. I know I am feeling a hell of a lot better & even manage to walk a bit without needing my crutches. Will let you all know. Mewanwhile love & hugs from a very warm New Zealand to those in the cold northern hemisphere.
Pam

    Hi Pam,

I just wanted to check in with you and know I will thinking about you on Thursday. I know you will have a good report. As I was out walking this morning with the temp in the 20's and snow all around me, I was thinking about you and your family just heading into summer. I just have to ask, do you have a cook-out for Christmas dinner? I know I have been in the Carribbean over the holiday season and seen decorated Christmas trees in the 80 degree heat, but it seemed so strange to me, always having associated Christmas with winter. But, it doesn't matter what the temperature is outside, it's what is inside that counts. Have a very Merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year. I have my next CT scan on December 27th, but I know everything will be fine. Today I am decorating the tree and making fudge. The fudge is to give away. My husband and I certainly don't need to eat all of it.

Again, it was great to hear your good news.

    God Bless,
    Kathy

    Hi Kathy
Yes we do have a cook out for Christmas lunch. We usually have seafood (scallops, squid, prawns etc) together with baked ham & salads. We have a traditional turkey or chicken roast later in the evening when it has cooled down a bit. I have 9 people on Christmas Day this year so I will sit back & they can all wait on me. Wonderful. We eat outside usually as it is too hot in the dining room. HAve a wonderful Christmas (& yes we still have the tree & lights & all the usual northern hemisphere trimmings but I was born & bought up in London so its nostalgia for me).
    Love & hugs
