Radiation & Nausea

Is there anyone who has had radiation for prostate cancer (hip & knee in my Dad's case) that caused nausea and vomitting? The docs told my Dad that it probably isn't the radiation since they are not radiating the stomach area. Does that matter? Also, does radiation cause nausea as a side effect? Thank you, Wendy

i had 25 days radiation before a seed implant. My cancer was confined to the prostate. Each day i got 4 short bursts of radiation: one in the pelvic area, one from below & one thru the hip on each side. I had no nausea or any other side effects, except that near the end i lost most of my pubic hair. The seed implant didn't work, so i finally went to Pittsburgh for Cryo & it worked.
