I'm 44 years old and a smoker. My Father is dying of non-small cell lung cancer. His Father died of lung cancer and two sisters have had lung cancer (one is still living). My tumors were detected during annual chest xray. I had papillary thyroid cancer 3 years ago and the tumors did not show up on my annual whole body scan. So they have pretty much ruled out recurrent thyroid cancer. I have had a CT scan and will see pulmologist on 5/11. I should note both tumors are in the sub-plureal cavity not in my lung, and I have lymph nodes enlarged. Needless to say I'm scared! Could anyone give me some advise on what questions to ask DR. I want to be as informed as possible. Thanks and God Bless!
