A little fall that hurt like heck!

OMG I fell today in the kitchen, as I turned to walk forward my 4 year old granddaughter walked across my path, I instantly put my arms around her as my sandal went side ways off my foot, I fell on my shoulder with her in my arms on a wood floor. I have a feeling I am going to be hurting tomorrow. My wrist, shoulder, neck and knee are aching! I just hope I didn't rip anything internally.......
Luckily, my daughter was at the stove and helped me up...I had the wind taken out of me! I keep running it through my mind and think how did I fall on my shoulder, I had to of fallen side ways.....WOW! I can laugh now!
PS - Granddaughter is fine, she cried because she thought she hurt my owie on my tummy...

scary but glad you're ok
Hi Raquel,
Dang- you probably were worrying more about the granddaughter on the way down, too. Glad it wasn't too bad. Reminds me of when my now 17 yr old was a baby & I slipped on the way down the carpeted stairs with him in my arms. I didn't want to let go of the baby, of course, so I hit hard and slid face first all the way down the stairs with the baby still in my arms. It hurt a lot, as I recall, but baby was fine- just cried from the impact and scare. BTW...Is the owie on tummy doing alright?

A couple years ago, at our cabin, I was swinging on a swing high....with my 7 year old daughter on my lap and the rope broke.....I crashed to the ground on my back with her still in my arms, just missed a big stone by the skin on my teeth!0
