Is anyone here taking either lexapro or prozac? Just wondering what kind of side effects, if any, you were experiencing? Have the meds caused any problems with diarrhea or weight gain?

meds and effects
Go here: http://www.askapatient.com/rateyourmedicine.htm
And type your drug of choice into the search bar.
The comments are from people like you or me, with nothing to
gain from a good or bad review.
The liver produces both Serotonin and Melatonin, both of
which are responsible for moods and overall functions.
When the liver is taxed from the intake of chemicals, the
balance of those compounds are changed; taking a medication
for "depression" actually puts a burden on the liver.
Often a cycle begins, where it becomes necessary to forever
continue to do chemically, what the body did naturally.
Like an arm forever in a sling, the organ will eventually lose it's
ability to function properly, leaving one forever dependant on
the money-making drug industry to do what could have been
done naturally.
(just thought I'd bring some levity?)

Zoloft and there are many others. Be careful as some are known to potentally cause liver problems as well as weight gain...........steve0 -
They put me on Cymbalta
not for depression, but for the pain associated with hand and foot (I had it BAD). Within a week or so the pain was drastically reduced...and I didn't notice any side effects (other than all the junk I already had from the chemo drugs). As soon as I stopped taking the Xeloda, I weaned myself off the Cymbalta. easy peasy... Cymbalta is known to be hard on livers...so make sure you knw where you stand that way. Laurie0
