Has religion in it, but this is really not a religious post. It's about cancer.

I feel that every time I read some of the stories here . I had no idea cancer was so bad until I joined this site. I am so grateful for all I have learned and wondered why me Lord why me. I have found out why me , he wanted me to learn more so I can do a better job for him. I sing for him any where I can afford to get to , I needed to learn to be more humble in my work.0 -
It always amazes me when I go for treatment and seePhillieG said:It has to make you wonder
how/why there are SO many people with cancer.
We are (somehow) killing ourselves with our lifestyle and/or environment.
others going too smoking a cigarette prior or after radiation and/or chemo. Talk about bringing this upon ourselves!!!!. The majority of cancer is caused by our lifestyle and what we've done to the environment we live in .For instance, how can I really blame others for my COPD when I smoked for 35 years? How can we not blame our own stupidity when we hear of lakes being so polluted that the water catches on fire? How is our wonderful economy affecting research money devoted to cancer?.....No matter what, we must keep fighting and never give up in our own personal battles.......Steve0 -

Cancer takes alot of lives. But so does heart disease, diabetes, alzheimers, obseity. We are not going to live forever, life has no guarantee, some will die from auto accidents, plane crashes, some from illnesses. Some are taken young, some live a long life. And some from suicide. All of us can try to take better care of our bodies. It's the only one we have.0 -

Honestly, I am having them more and more every day. I am going to go back on the Flourextine to try and prevent me from feeling so emotional about everything. Its really causing me trouble, your not alone sweetie.....Love to you, Clift0 -
Hugs and prayers
Gail,
I can relate to how you were feeling too. I've really found myself more emotional lately. I've held so much in that it does build up and finally releases itself. I found myself teary eyed at every little thing yesterday and knew it was an emotional release. Yes, there are sooo many people with cancer around. As Phil said, our society is killing itself with what's in the enviroment and with what we're eating. It seems so common sense, yet it doesn't seem to matter to so many.
Sometimes I find church one of the harder places to go, as I'm faced each week by so many dear, caring people who ask me every week what's my latest. I truly am grateful for the fact that they care and that they pray for me, but sometimes I just would love to be invisible and not have to talk about my cancer!
Hugs to you, dear

Emotional as Well
I find myself fighting back tears when I hear certain songs at church. I think God understands that we get emotional once in a while, He is there for you. Crying makes me feel stronger, after a good cry I pull myself up and say, "tomorrow is another day".

They dare not sing "The Old Rugged Cross" cause I'm an immediate basket case.
