lung nodule

My initial PET scan for my BOT diagnosis showed a 9mm nodule on the right lung. It is however not active or lighting up? Curious if anyone else had a finding of a nodule on their initial scan which did or didn't turn out to be something to worry about. How did you Doctors handle it?

Nodule
Yup, a like nodule in my left lung. First seen in PET Scan in Jan09. Still there (same size) in Sep09. Both Oncologist and EMT say....no big deal....very common....keeping an eye on it as growth will be a problem.0 -

I was told it was 4mm and I don't know what that follow-up is that you are talking about. In September, when I had the CT Scan, the nurse called me and said the scan was clear with the exception of a nodule that was stable. Huh? I said I was not aware there was a nodule. Later, when I spoke with my Oncologist, she said it was seen in the PET Scan January. I said I had no knowledge of it in January. My brother died 20 years ago from Lung Cancer and I would remember being told about a nodule on my lungs. She said that sometimes the Radiologist sees nodules that are so small, they are not reported...OK..so now I know, I'll keep a check on it. At any rate, she said it was the same size now as in January but, had it gotten bigger, I would be looking at additional testing/treatment...0
