Cribriform Pattern 4

Does the presence of basal cells indicate intraductal carcinoma… just another area of confusion for me. I find it concerning that two pathologists can look at the same slide and one says no crib and the other says yes. The distinction or lack there of between intraductal and regular type is just more evidence in my mind that there is a narrative that the prostate cancer industry needs to follow to keep the money flowing. And prostate cancer numbers have exploded in the last two years.
I can't tell you how many of my friends told me that if I'm gonna have cancer then prostate cancer is the one to have. Thanks.

Independently of the type of cribriform PCa, such diagnosis suggests a higher risk and association on a long-term outcome. Many doctors increase the illness stage one or two folds (ex: from stage 2 to stage 3) to provide recommendations on treatment.
In other words, neither surgery or radiation seems to satisfy fully what we know of the typical ways in PCa treatments. One can opt for one of the radicals as a "starter" always dependable on the menace in the need of further therapy.
Some oncologists prefer to recommend a multi-modal protocol (a combination of therapies) taking into consideration the details from multiparametric tests and exams (mpMRI, nuclear imagin tests, BS, ECG, PET, etc).
A previous survivor here has followed the combi of RP + RT + ADT. He had surgery followed by radiation three months later, starting ADT one month post RP.
In my lay opinion one should also consider the quality of life with regards to your age. Can you stand being free of cancer but handicapped? How far are you prepared to accept your newer you after treatment.
Get second opinions and be more serious in your choices.
Best wishes and luck in this journey.

Not too fond of your neurologist it almost seems like he’s positive You’re gonna have a relapse within five years. Why didn’t he start therapy right now… he is supposed to give you hope if you’re surgery came out real clean pathology report was good for all prespective reasons you can beat this No reason to put, those negative thoughts in your mind how are you Not gonna worry after the fourth year of being cancer free that every time you get a blood test gonna start climbing …you’re gonna be worried sick shame on him. At least i would be

He was going to start me on a chemo trial immediately after surgery but we decided to wait till my PSA started rising again. I also wanted to get in better shape. I was diagnosed as a type two diabetic about ten years ago and have been about twenty pounds overweight for the last twenty years… I'm 64.
Since my surgery I have gone to a kind of ketovore diet with intermittent fasting… I have lost twenty five pounds and my gp took me off metformin last month because my a1c dropped to 5.6. This after nearly ten years of following the American Diabetes **** diet recommendations. You know the food pyramid and all the complex carbs… thus my disdain for the narrative and all the money which controls it… big ag specifically. And big pharma is no different.
I don't mean to be so cynical but I have real problem with what has been done to American's health over the last fifty years and a serious distrust for most of it… which includes the ADT drugs which are the first line of defense for prostate cancer… partly because the NIH and their partners won't allow for newer more experimental treatment options until you exhaust their system preferred gov funded drugs. Best of luck to everybody and I am thankful for this site and others for helping provide information.

i believe all of what your saying is true please this country is so greedy they make hundreds of billions and billions of dollars off keeping us sick. Why would they want to cure us? They could care less I knew better but I was so afraid of surgery. I put that radiation poison in me. It didn’t even work and then the SOB wanted to do it again. Would not admit that crib form is radiation resistant. I’d love to turn him in if I could.
