So lost, I don't even know how to pray
As my moniker indicates, I am a caregiver for my husband these past eight years. He has survived throat cancer and a recurrence, but requires daily care even though he is currently considered in "remission" (mets to lungs still visible on cat scan). I am myself a two time survivor of breast cancer.
But today seems to be too much. I learned my oldest sister is in ICU, multi organ failure. Her urinary infection this past month has turned out to be a mass with mets. Maybe two weeks. AND my next oldest sister was diagnosed a week ago late stage recurrence of her breast cancer.
I don't know where to find the strength. I don't know how or what to pray for. It's just SO much!

Caregiver support
Sorry to hear you're going through all this at once. I was diagnosed with olfactory neuroblastoma about the same time my cousin's Mom was diagnosed with lung cancer. I'm still waiting on that "third one". Hopefully, it doesn't happen. I don’t know yet how long the road ahead of us is and I often don’t know what to pray for, either.
I'm a caregiver for my Mom, who recently had a large meningioma (benign) removed from her frontal lobe, which caused her dementia. She's had a bilateral mastectomy for breast cancer with no recurrence.
Have you any caregiver support groups or workgroups in your area? I’ve found this to be the most helpful in handling this. Most of the ladies in my group are my parent’s age but they’re going through similar situations with their loved ones and have their own health problems so it’s, for lack of a better word, a Godsend. Our group meets once a month and is free, led by a local college’s clinical psychologist. It’s helped me connect with resources and people that care about what each other are going through.
Do you have anyone to help you with your husband?
I hope you can find a moment of peace and calm through all this and gain the strength to power through. Take care of yourself, too.
Best wishes to you and your family.
