Can you tell me a bit about

Can you tell me a bit about your tumor and  treatment?  Amount of resection, radiation and chemo, any follow-up events?  Where did you have your treatments?

    It was entirely removed

It was entirely removed (well, all they could see). 3 months of radiation (daily) and 1 1/2 yar of chemo (weekly vincristine and monthly ccnu).

    Congratulations

That is wonderful to hear. Can you share where you were treated and who your Drs were?  I am trying to find the best treatment option for my husband.

    Sorry for the delayed

Sorry for the delayed response. I don't get on here often. I was treated at MUSC in Charleston SC (Hollings Cancer Center).

I am a Father of a five and a half years old Beautiful Young Lady diagnosed with Anaplastic Astrocytoma Grade III in brain stem in this Feb. We are after the operation (the “troublemaker” couldn’t be touched basically :o( and the first round of the treatment (radiation- and Temodal) and will start the next round as of tomorrow (Temodal in 5/23 cycle). We strongly believe in God and are sure that our Little Princess will be fully recovered (as You :o) but Your words provides more strengths for the ordinary days. God Bless You, Attila from Hungary

Recently i came across an article which talks about a new treatment called SPMF, for Cancer, in India at SBF Healthcare. This article is about a 33 yrs old woman with recurrent anaplatic astrocytoma, she took standard treatment but it failed, so she underwent this new treatment SPMF for 28days. The result showed improvement in patient condition.

When i did a search for this treatment I could get some positive findings, like this is a non invasive therapy without any side effects and no pain.  The treatment was completely safe and patients are able to do his daily chores and shows long term survival rate.

    HI Jake. :)

Hi. Mi mother was diagnosed with grade 3 astrocytoma. I'm from the Philippines. I've been reading here a lot after my mom's surgery. I Love my mom so much. It's really inspiring to know that there are many survivors that beat the doctor's timeline of 2-5 years. her tumor was removed last april. God Bless us all ! i want my mom to be treated in the United States but we don't have enough money to go there.

Welcome!
