I love my primary care, but...this is weird.

I had an MRI on my cervical spine after the x-ray didn't turn out so good I guess.
Neck pain, and tingling down right arm, and pain in upper right arm.

Bottom line, one of her staff called me and said I need to see a neurologist and have a physical therapy evaluation.

BUT....she couldn't tell me what is wrong and why I need to do this!!

Of course, hoping no cancer cells anywhere. I insisted on mailing me a report, as I have the CD, but can't interpret it.

    Because your PC wants
Because your PC wants something checked does NOT mean that they think something is "wrong" - they are being czreful and ruling out the chance there is a problem. Last Fall (very late Oct - very early Nov), I had some horrendous head aches (head aches are not normal for me) that only Dex would ease. My PA sent to eye Dr and another MRI to be 'safe'/rule out other ptoential problems. Took Dex for 2 weeks and the pain/pressure was gone - no pain since. All the Drs who have seen/reviewed my tests say that for some totally unknown reason some nerve in head 'decided' to cause the pain/pressure but there is no reason to be concerned about it as long as MRI and eye exam showed 'nothing'.

Point is - just because a Dr wants a test run does NOT mean "the worst" - it rules out so much.

    People dont "get" our bottom
People dont "get" our bottom line, cancer. so they are more casual. if it I was cancer I would think, they would want you to call your oncologist. hopefully its a pinched nerve or something that can be fixed with PT.

    could be
Could be that your MRI was negative and they're trying to find out exactly what the problem is. I know it's easier to say than do but try not to worry too much and just consider it being thorough.

It's easy to overreact after going thru what we do. Try to relax and good luck.
