    Dear Sister Pinks,
    Thank you for the warm birthday wishes!  It was kind of you to remember me on my special day.
    I hit a landmark this year.  I turned 50 on 1/22!  I spend part of my day celebrating with elementary school kids at my workplace. I brought donut holes to share with the kids I see on a weekly basis for reading, writing, and comprehension. The kids are such a joy and were happy to celebrate with me!
    Mark, my husband, made a scrumptious birthday dinner for Lauren, my daughter, and I.  He made ahi tuna steaks, baked potato, and a salad with bread.  Of course, I had a glass of white wine and savored every bite of my special meal!  We ended the meal with am assortment of personalized mini desserts that came from a French bakery.  They were superb!
    I am over 5 1/2 years out from diagnosis.  I continue moving forward with life.  I am here celebrating Life with family and friends!  I wish you all strength, courage, and peace.  Keep going, don't give up, stay on course.
