I had a dream one night, that me, Nizzy, Shelley, John, Kali, Jazzy, Patty, Glenna, Roz all were in this big house on vacation eating dinner. When I woke up, I thought of this poem and a CSN holiday get together. I wrote it pretty quickly. Half on one day, the rest the next. Maybe three or four hours.
Your poem is awesome. You have lots of imagination and you put it down very well. You should write a book

Great..great..great
What a good laugh and a smile you gave me, Dawn. I have just returned from dinner with a colleague at a big glitzy mall here in Beirut and found the place incredibly decorated yet rather soulless and mechanical in its shopping frenzy. And here I decided to check on my cyber-friends who are more real than those in the physical world. I think of you all as Dickens thought of the reformed Scrooge:
"It was always said of him, that he knew how to keep Christmas well, if any man alive possessed the knowledge. May that be truly said of us, and all of us! And so, as Tiny Tim observed, God Bless Us, Every One!"
God knows, we know how much we genuinely have to be thankful for. Big cyber-hugs to all, Doug -
Levity in the face of terror--thank you!
Thanks for giving us all a special gift at a time of year that's easy to take a totally different attitude about. While we all have faced incredible challenges that no one brought on themselves, I draw strength from what I read on CSN, after finding it just a few weeks ago. This is going to be a pivotal week for me, with two consultations about how to proceed after HBO apparently didn't heal my ORN. I have lots of great support around me, but it's also important to know I can be in touch with others in the same boat.

I am so glad you guys enjoyed the poem.
What a thoughtful thing to do. It's hard to believe how fast you were able to write it. That would have taken me all year!
Finding this forum has really helped me. Everyone is so very nice no matter how much they've been through.
