Susie's Hero & Trooper-Brendon
It is with a heart wrenching regret that I report to you all that Brendon lost his fight to EC last night. I have been in tears over the last few hours as I’m sure this news will elicit tears from many of you who have known them here in this forum and on whose behalf you have been praying. Pray for her now.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. “
And so Brendon rests, shedding his burden and earthly shell to go and reside in the presence of the most high God.
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.” When we belong to God, we must go when He calls.
I’m sure when Susie can breathe and has taken care of the things that need care right now, including herself and her family-she will be here to share with everyone.
Saddened so Deeply Today,
Dana

My Heart is heavy
My heart truly goes out to Susie. Her life now has changed forever. The love of her life has lost his couregeous battle and now everything will be different. I pray that she holds strength in the fact that she did so much to help him and was always by his side. That is one regret she will never have to face.
My love is with you Susie

I’m so sad to hear that Brendon has lost his battle to EC. Like others I wish to extend my deepest condolences to Susie and her family. I really feel the most for Susie, Bendon’s suffering is over yet Susie is forced to go on. It is so painful to watch two nice people work so hard to beat this disease yet fall to the same fate we all fear. To be honest that is my biggest fear that my 47 year old wife and two college age children are going to be forced to struggle on without me. I know eventually this disease will not only likely kill me but will also severely hurt my family. I’m sure it’s not only me that feels this way as there are many young men with families on this board. Living with that thought is the hardest part of EC for me and one I’m sure Bendon thought about often.
Sincerely,
Joel0 -

Susie,
I am so very sorry to hear of your terrible loss. I hope you have lots of family and friends to support you at this painful time. As you see from all the postings here, you are in all of our thoughts and prayers. Please know that even though we are basically all strangers here, we are here for you, and thinking of you. This 'extended EC family' may not know the pain you are suffering right now, but we can sure empathize and mourn for Brendon and you. Please take care of yourself Susie.

I am so sorry to hear Brendon has left us
Susie,
I am so very sorry to hear that Brendon has left us. I remember the tireless research you did to determine the best treatment approach for him. You were certainly the best advocate any husband could hope for while fighting this terrible disease. You and Brendon certainly fought as hard as anyone could.
May God wrap Brendon in his loving arms and bring you and your family support and peace during this difficult time.
With my deepest condolences,
Paul Adams,

Devastated
I am completely devastated for Susie and her family. While a loss is never easy it seems as though it would be that much harder when a young spouse loses their partner and young children lose a parent. This horrible disease leaves so much destruction behind, it just doesn't seem fair. I pray that they eventually find peace and are able to move forward in their lives in the same positive light they fought this battle with. I'll be saying many prayers for you all.0 -
Terrible news
So so so sorry to get this news. I was very encouraged by Susie's optimism and strength. Brendon and Tom, my husband, were very close in age and I was following Brendon's story very closely. So sad, so unfair. Susie, my heart goes to you and your family.
