Don't know what to do.
Well Monday will be a month that my dad has been in the hospital. I really dont know what to do. Within the last couple days he hasnt ate or drank and has been sleeping all day and he is very depressed. I know there really isnt anything i can do for him but be there but he doesnt even know im there with him when i stay. He is confused all the time. He has lost weight and has lost a great deal of muscle mass. I feel like he is just giving up. I am sooo upset. I cant eat because i get sick and dont sleep well. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm so sorry for your situation
Caregivers and family members often feel helpless in it all but I would bet that your Dad knows that you are there, even though you don't think he does, and I'm sure you are a great comfort to him. You might think about getting some counselling yourself through this process, there are some great grief counsellors out there who can really help, they can guide you through the various stages he might go through.
I hope you have friends and family to help you with support as well and so my advice would be to get professional support for yourself while you are going through this and continue to be there for him, I really believe he knows you are there with him helping him along with your prsence and support.
Take care of you too.
Blessings,
