Umbrella's

For a little comedy relief, earlier today I asked my husband to get the stroller ready, I asked him to get the umbrella one out to take the baby out to Diary Queen, he said "umbrella"? Yes, I replied get the umbrella one, it'll be easier. What do you mean"? he asked, I replied, "the umbrella one, get the umbrella one, it'll be easier to put in the trunk of the car". I finally said, "get the red one, the red stroller, it's smaller".
So apparently all day he's been thinking I have Alzheimer's since I was calling the stroller an "umbrella". In between the almost dying of laughter, (I was truly choking up from laughing too hard),I explained to him that an "umbrella one", was an "umbrella stroller" that it is what these little fold up strollers all called.
He's very relieved at this moment. And me? I'm trying to quit laughing!!!

Watching our 2 year old AVA
    The things grandpa's do.

Today, my husband was trying to yank our two year old, granddaughter out of her car seat with her legs still strapped in, she managed to say, "Papa, you are mean," as he shut the car door he hit her on the head with it. She hadn't cleared the door yet. She was not happy, and he was stressed out, he thought that he had really hurt her. lol But she was fine, but he will not live that one down for awhile.

    Vacation
    Winter,

Have been wondering how your week was going taking care of the baby. Sounds like you are doing great. You should probably have a vaction now to get some rest. LOL
(What the heck is a vaction? Maybe some new medical procedure. Let's try VACATION)
    Take care,

    LOL
We survived, baby and I both. Parents got home a couple of hours ago, and I got to turn a baby over to them none the worse for the wear after spending a week with grandma.
Now that I spent my Spring break babysitting. I guess I'll VACATION at school this next week. LOL.

This poor man actually suffered over 10 hours thinking I was losing my mind by asking him for the umbrella when I should have said stroller. When he finally told me he thought I was losing it, he thought I had said balloon, and I told him "Balloon? I never said balloon, I said umbrella". And he replied, "Yes, see, saying umbrella is as bad as saying balloon."
That's when I explained that the stroller was called an "umbrella stroller".
    That's when he was relieved.

    Funny Story
Here is a story my daughter told me this morning. My 6 year old grandson came home from school yesterday with a button for Walk for Autism. My daughter has 4 children, 8, 6, 3, and 2 mo. Now daddy explained what autism is to the two older boys, that some children with Autism will never be able to care for themself, they will always need someone to help them. My 8 year old grandson replies, you mean like Pop! Pop is my husband who is a 2 year Cancer survivor. He knows that we all help Pop with everday chores even though he is NED for 18 mos. We have learned not to take anyone for granted, even my little Angels know that at such an early age. No matter how we all feel, I think having little ones around can put a smile on anyone's face. God Bless all of you! Margaret
