I bet you do feel better
I love auburn hair.My hair was med/light brown when I was younger.I didn't need chemo or radiation so can't compare to that. But I know of a young girl (21) whose hair came back darker(black). Everyone seems to be different
I am 64 and still have light brown hair with a touch of gray here and there. It all blends in.BUT sometimes I wish it would all get gray. Not salt and pepper. I have trouble breathing the hair dyes so I will never be able to color my hair.
I bet you feel so much better about yourself. After all you went through you are getting back to normal.

You're lucky to get grey!
I was so hopeing that when my hair came back there it would be grey - no such luck. I'm 64 and my hair is Very dark brown naturally - almost black but not quite. I hate it when people tell me that I shouldn't dye it so dark at my age - and then they don't believe me when I tell them that it's natural. Just genetics - Mom's side of the family got grey quite young but Daddy's side never got grey even in their 90's, so I'm just a 'Daddy's Girl' with my hair (always was anyway).

Check with a salon that uses the newer friendlier products. My wig was ordered through a salon that does not use the old style color products because of the owner's allergies - I did not smell any of the 'aromas' usually associated with color and perms in her salon. -
