Yes, this happens to many people with most or all kinds of cancer, thus the lingering anxiety for many (and even dread for some) when they have their next CT or PET scan.
Our cells are really small so it is relatively easy for surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and other treatments to miss a few cancer cells, unfortunately, and because these are viral they eventually multiply again.
The good news, as many here will confirm, is that it IS possible to get it all, even if it takes multiple treatments. Do not give up!
