Scan results part 2- with whats been happening on the board recently I'm really worried
You all know I was told early part of July that I had a clear scan, then on the follow up appointment was told It was clear but I had fatty lumps on liver, that they were not worried about.
Now today got a call from someone asking for someone called Jackie, I said it was the wrong number but his voice sounded familiar. Then I told him who I was, and he said I was next to be called, not to worry have to have an MRI in two or three weeks, to make sure lumps are just fatty lumps. I end up in tears, as my brother the previous day had said in a fit of rage I hope the lumps on your liver turn out to be cancer, he had previously said before scan I hope it comes out riddled with cancer.
Anyway spoke to my cancer nurse, it's just routine that they have to do the MRI, as I had cancer. It's two tiny spots on my liver, on the CT scan it was white and they have said it looks like fatty lumps. Tumours apprently are a different colour on CT scans. I don't know I'm so upset and confused, what with everything going on the board I'm really worried now.
Worst case scenario, if it is the big c, they are tiny at the moment, well I said that. Also as I mentioned the drinking from January to March, she said that could account for it. I'm due to have a cea test done, now I'm just worried to even have that. Sorry for posting just really upset, being told one thing, then another, then another.
Hugs to all

Sonia,
Hang in there, Sonia. Take one day at a time.
Think positive thoughts! You can do this! An MRI is a good thing. It will catch anything early and yes, that is what we want if there is anything. But remember this only a precaution. Your entire mind, body and spirit will be healthier if you think good thoughts.
Ignore your brother. Some people say things they do not mean during stressful situations.
Stay positive. Think of the good you will do to help others in your lifetime.
Take care of yourself. Have some extra fruits and veggies today.
Hugs,

Hello Sonia.. I am new to this board and I sure wish I had this last year. It is good to communicate with folks that have something in common.
I will not tell you to not worry because that is a natural thing to do.
Just look at your situation from a different light.
You are a head of this thing called cancer because your are aware of the possibilities.
You could be in the dark about it all, but you are in Gods light and can see your options.
During my chemo/radiation last year I began recording all of the songs that I have written over the years. I have been blessed as a musician for 30 plus years. I have recorded my music using my computer and equipment here at home. I surely can not afford going into a professional studio.
I sent out my music to family and friends a song at a time, just to see their response.
My older brother was critical of my music, so therefore I do not send him anymore music.
Brothers and sisters can either be loving or hateful. You have to protect yourself from the negative. You can not afford to feed your spirit negative vibes right now or at anytime.
Prayer helps alot too.
I hope you find peace today!!!
God Bless you,
Mickey0 -

HI Sonia!
Lizzy and Mickey gave you some good advice. I remember before when your brother said some awful things & just couldn't believe anyone could say that & here he goes again. I'm so sorry you had to hear that and have the stress of it. I know it's been tough on the board here lately but, remember, others' situation has nothing to do with you and no way to influence what happens to you. You are different and unique in every way (in a good way
An MRI is good- you won't have to keep wondering what those spots on the liver are. It sounds like they know what they're talking about & it's good that they are following up.
Take one day at a time and try not to run ahead so much in your mind. I definitely know that it's hard not to do that, though. Keep holding on and let it go to God in prayer each day. I will definitely be praying for you for everything to come out as an all clear on this MRI and for you to still feel positive. No falling down- He's holding you up.

Next time he becomes a ****. Give him a great big hug, look him in the eyes and tell him that you've been praying for healing by wishing he had the cancer instead of you! Then pull out a little doll and draw a few little black marks on it.0 -

Thank you so much for your reply... your right about not being in the dark, have to try and be more positive, as they suspect what it is, ie fatty lumps, but it's hard not to think what ifs.0 -

I am glad your medical team is so diligent + they are doing the MRI. It sounds like your brother doesn't belong on "team Sonia". There is no excuse for what he said to you. Please let us know the results of the MRI.
I know they are just making sure it is just fatty lumps, but arghhh my mind, will try and rationalise things. And as for my brother, he never really has been on my team. But I have my online family, friends, and family members who are.

keep strong
Your brother is truly an **** and I was laughing at John's comment about telling him you were praying for a cure by hoping he would get it instead! LOL! And he would totally deserve it, although none of us would EVER wish this even on our worst enemies! That said, I am sorry you are having this worry. You did make a good comment, even if it DOES turn out to be cancer, which it probably won't, you will have caught it really early! I had microwave ablation done on a tiny met in my liver and recovery was ridiculously quick and the procedure could easily be done a number of times, if necessary, in the future for other mets. I am praying for comfort for you in the days ahead, Sonia.

Sending you Hugs
Awww sweetie you have been through so much and this hurts me to see that you are yet going through another trial. Hoping and praying that all is fine with your upcoming tests. Sorry to hear that your brother is such a jerk. Can't imagine why anyone would ever say that to any human being, let alone their sister. He needs lots of prayers for a better spirit. Keep us informed. You are a special person and don't ever forget that.

brother
Brothers can be such a bother! Remember someone that poor in spirit needs your prayers even more that you do. He must be a very sad person to treat you so badly. The MRI will tell you what you are dealing with and help your feelings, but he will still be suffering. Prayers go out to both of you.

I have 3 on my liver...
Thought about naming them.....ROFL!
I just caution the rad tech with each scan that they are there, and that there were 3. I had an ultrasound, and an MRI done at the beginning, just to make sure (routine, as your nurse said).
Take a deep breath, we are here, dearheart!!!
Hugs, Kathi0
