2nd Opinion dignosis in .. St. Joseph's - Dr. Harness /// Mother of 2 Corona, CA
DCIS -- Invasive and aggressive // micro invasion
Stage 1 cancer and T1B ?? i don't know what T1B means// anyone?
Markers look clean ...
--- 98% to 99% cancer removed at this point ---
Centnornement (sp?) surgery required to test nodes, but will have to wait for my breast and muscles to heal .. 3 to 4 months.
Nodes are clear from what MRI shows // additional surgery - above will confirm.
Margins // 1 cm .. clear (as evidence of MRI) allergic reaction and all.
HER2 positive .. double check when block shows up at St. Joe's. Cancer block requested from Corona Regional Hospital.
20 doctor panel met today (as they do, Tuesday's a.m. to discuss ongoing cases, new trials, and new bc patients) and all agree that I should start 4 to 6 rounds of chemo.

Reconstruction & plastic consult at a later date. Due to the botched lumpectomy by general
surgeon - I am not healing well, and Dr. H wants my breast and under arm to heal before additional biospy's can be taken for nodes and margins confirmation.
Meeting with onc, Friday 8/28 @ 11:00 ... 80% of his cancer patients, are bc women. I'll be in GREAT company.
I feel bless ... Diagnosised with bc on 8/14 .. Wednesday 8/19 2nd opinion appointment, started from scratch, and here we are 8/26 with a plan of action.
Please note that Dr. Harness waved at me while I sat in the waiting room, I was puzzled, and said to my sister .. I don't think he remembers me from last week .. he probably see's 20 patients per day ... TO my surprise, Dr. H asked me how I was doing, healing and proceeded to discuss my case without OPENING UP MY FILE -- HE KNEW EVERYTHING ABOUT MY DIAGNOSIS AND CONDITION.. Surprised the Hell out of me. He also mentioned that he saw me in the waiting room, with my posse Jackie and Anne.
As soon as I returned home, I called my IDOL, and spoke to her for a few mintues .. she calmed nerves, and put me at ease .. I think I may even sleep tonight .. maybe - let's hope so. Thank you --- IDOL.
