Our 16 year old son is in Civil Air Patrol. He just was awarded 'Cadet of the Quarter'. :-)
Tomorrow, weather permitting, he will fly a glider plane for the first time. He's flown Cessna's but this is his first glider flight.
Guess what! It's FREE! Dues for CAP are $39 a year but flying lessons and loads of other activities are free.
There's a video on Youtube of him flying a Cessna for the first time. :-) I'm so excited about tomorrow! We have to be in Rome, Ga. at 8:45 and it's an all day event. The cadets are flagmen and wingrunners when not flying themselves. Watch for pictures on Facebook!
If we get dig out of our driveway, we're going to watch Rick's daughter play in her first basketball game tomorrow morning! She called her Dad last night all excited about it (she's only 8). We might even do some sledding in the afternoon since it's snowing like the dickens right now. Another 10" is forecast for today. Oh, boy...
My best wishes for a nice weekend everyone! Cynthia
After 2 years of living with a half done bedroom i am finally getting it done, my husband traded metal work for a paint and ceiling job, smooth ceiling yeah, painted walls, double yeah, Now i will come home from the hospital to a fab room
I have lunch with my sorority tomorrow, and then I'm picking up our grandson (he's 8), and he and Bill and I are going to the Lego store. Dinner later. He'll be spending the night with us and going to church on Sunday. He's super excited, because we have a pancake breakfast this Sunday. *smiles*
