We are coming up on the 5 mo. marker of my husband's passing. I find lately I get flashbacks of the 15 mos. of his illness...difficult, sad flashes. I don't know if this is partly due to now going through this cancer routine with my mom. Just wishing for some normalcy in my life.

I think it's normal to have these flashbacks. I have them everytime I'm in the bathroom cause that's where I found my husband hemmoraging and laid him on the floor. The picture doesn't leave my mind. It's so hard losing someone we love. He died 8 months ago and I just wish I could hold him again or just talk to him. Guess we have to remember the happy times we had with them, huh? Life is so unfair and cancer sucks! Be strong for your mom now, and let her know how much you love her. You've had a double whammy with your husband dying and now your mom fighting cancer. I'll say a prayer for you, okay? "Carole"

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. Was your husband on Avastin? I walked into the family room early one morning to find him hemmoraging from the nose. That was the end of the avastin treatments. I hear what you are saying...just to hold him, talk to him. Life is unfair. Thanks again and God bless.
