Hi All,
This is the latest news on mom in law. We are flying her and her daughter out in 2 weeks. MIL(mom in law) Will stay in Ca until her time comes. Sister in law will most likely also remain in Ca. I am now having to scramble to find a short term rental apartment and furnish it. They arrive on the 12th. My rads start on the 15th. Life has taken another sharp turn and my head is spinning all the time. I am trying to focus on the next few days, I saw 2 apts today and will see one tomorrow. My girls are helping to find furniture etc. MIL will go on hospice out here. It is good that she will be with us, but also so very sad. Some tough times are ahead.
I hope all of you have a wonderful Halloween weekend. I plan on a little trick or treating with grandkids and watching the GIANTS win the World Series!!!
Peaceful healing
Lisha

    You are AMAZING!
    Hi Lisha,
There will be a "VERY" special place for you in heaven my dear! This is going to be difficult with you starting treatment 2 days after Delores arrives, but I have a feeling that somehow you will get through it. I have faith in you, and I'll keep positive thoughts coming your way and also keep you and your family in my prayers. Enjoy your time with the grandkids trick or treating "AND"... the World Series.
    Love...Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)
(I'm gettin anxious..start the pred week on Tues...UGH!!!)

    Thank you
    Hi Sue,
Thank you for your caring words. You really touch my heart. It really feels like the world is swirling around me. Just 3 weeks ago we were in Fl, and now MIL is moving 'home'. My husband is the one who is having such a hard time right now. He worries about me and his mom and my mom and everyday life. Me, I'm on that Libra auto pilot fuled by adrenalin. Do what needs to be done... I am so tired but must keep moving.
I know you must be thinking about your upcoming week. I hope that the symptoms will ease and allow you to have rest and calm. I will be thinking only great positive things for you.
Try not to worry to much, just think how far you have come. Almost done..
I really like your new short hair, do you still have all of it. Last time I had rad, my hair thinned so much that I looked like I was bald. This time I know what to expect. LOL

    Hangin in there..
Yep...my hair is still hangin in there. I shed all over the house but so far I don't have any bald or vacant spots that I've knowticed. I still have my taste buds in tact also..no icky tastes so far..(knock on wood). Your right Lisha...I'm half way through treatments and the pred hasn't done me in yet. My Libra "auto pilot" just seems to have a hard time kicking in during that week! I'll be just fine. Now....you and hubby don't forget to give each other extra hugs in the weeks to come, and don't "YOU" forget to be good to yourself once the treatments start....periodically your just going to be forced to turn off that Libra auto pilot, so don't fight it...Ok? Take care and your in my thoughts daily. You inspire me to be stronger and buck up! Love...Sue

    Coming Home
Lisha, you are such an inspiration to me. I know the next few weeks are going to be tough for you and your family. I will send all my good thoughts and prayers your way. Having Delores come to you is such a wonderful expression of love. My mom's name was also Delores.

I do believe having the help of hospice will also help you while you are going through these treatments. Maybe they can give you some suggestions and advise. I know watching her last days is devastatingly hard and the anger towards this disease will take a large part of your conscious thought. When my mom died from this damn disease we didn't know she was dying, and as a teenage girl I was living in denial. It took years to deal with the feelings.

I love your signature........peaceful healing, it says everything that is true. Peace is such a wonderful choice. I choose it for today for me, you and all who are doing this journey.

Rest when you can, and take a moment at a time Lisha.

    Best of All Good Luck
    Hi Lisha,

I echo the others in wishing you the very best and taking inspiration from you.
I have an aged mother for whom I am the only support she's got. She's not in hospice yet, but aging fast. What you are doing is awesome and will be a help for both you and your mom. In spite of your illness, you will gain energy and peace to see you through this. It will happen.

Sue, glad to hear that you still have your hair and your taste. I lost both of mine after the 3rd infusion. Just last night my lovely bride and I were at dinner at a local steak house. Nice place. I had to order sweet - yes I said sweet - wine because my taste has gotten so bad that I simply cannot stand the taste of good wine. (We have been wine lovers for decades and built a wine cellar into our retirement home.) And now I can't stand the taste of wine. (On the other hand, I can't drink hardly anything while on chemo - but I pray that my taste will go back to normal after the chemo.

Lisha, I meant what I said about wishing you all the best, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE giants.

    Peaceful healing from TEXAS!
