For those of you that may not know yet, Zero and PCF are collecting signatures for a petition to the NFL to have the players wear light blue for a game in September next season to promote Prostate Cancer Awareness. If you have a Facebook account you can access and sign the petition by visiting the Zero or PCF page.
If you do not have a Facebook account you can access a version of the petition by clicking on the link below

Please sign and forward to family and friends. We need to make more men aware of this disease.
Thanks,
Joe

Thanks, Joe. I was not aware of this petition...
I signed the petition gladly and notified all of my family and friends as well. September was Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. When it started, I sent around a message to all my friends and co-workers because I knew they would not know about it otherwise. I was right. Nothing mentioned on my local news, no awareness campaigns, no fund raisers, etc. Now that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I see reminders and fundraisers all over the place. Don't get me wrong, I don't begrudge breast cancer patients any of their attention or funds, but it seems that two diseases with similar populations, annual diagnoses and survival rates, should expect to have similar funds and awareness raised. Sadly, PCa is sadly lacking and therefore continues to affect good men every day.
