Hi John, a little better, this Anemia thing got me going! Can really catch my breath if I do anything, but I'm still cooking! LOL My last Chemo Treatment is Wednesday, then October 8, I have a appt. with a Stem Cell and Bone Marrow Specialist at the Univ. of Penn, about what's involved with that treatment. How about yourself, your tooth alright?
Vinyy,
Everything is ok on this end right now. I could use a little more enery from the energizer bunny. The tooth is ok but can flare up at any time. Still on the penicillen. Good luck with that last treatment. So many of us cross that finish line dragging our A$$eS. Looks like I will be one of them. John
Hi John,
Hard to believe you are so close to that line! I don't care if I have to be pushed across it in a wheel barrow...just so as long as I get there! Getting a ton of stuff done today, as I don't want to have anything on my mind for the rest of the week except making it through until Saturday when I take the last of the dredded "P" pills...UGH! Soooo hate taking that part of the chemo protocol. Glad to hear your tooth is getting better. Hope you have a good week!....Sue
Hi Vinny,
I was wondering if you could be on home oxygen to help with the breathing problem? 5 years ago I had a terrible bout with bronchitis and after spending 5 days in the hospital on oxygen and close monitoring, my doctor sent me home but continued the oxygen for 10 more days. I just shudder thinking of you not being able to catch your breath. Good luck Wednesday with your last chemo...round 2 for me tomorrow. Hang in there Vinny, maybe the Bone Marrow Specialist will be the silver bullet to a long remission. Thinking good positive thoughts for you..Sue
P.S. Was given a huge box of apples, so I spent Saturday and Sunday making apples pies... 12 to be exact. All are in the freezer now ready to pull out and cook throughout the coming year. Today I'm going to finish off the box and make some apple butter and applesauce. Sure keeps my mind busy, which is always a "good" thing when you have a uber busy mind like mine!...ha!
Hey Sue, that's sounds so good..... those apple pies, funny story, my wife every year makes me bake her one of my apple pies, instead of cake!!!!!..... It's hard to explain the shortness of breath, it's more of a feeling from my inside, hence the Anemia I guess........ Good luck with your Second round!!!! Give them Hell!!!!! Vinny
Vinny,
I love pies too. You live in NJ and I live in NC. We are both on the east coast. Just throw one of those pies on the MARC train and I'll run down and pick it up. hahahahaha!! John
I'd catch myself just taking huge breaths when sitting on the couch. You know the kind where it takes all your muscles in your tummy truly a DEEP breath? I did this all day from every room, chair, and bed LOL.
Hi Vinny,
I'm sending all my positive thoughts your way. Use them now and all week long...I am sorry to hear your still have such a hard time with the anemia. Really wears you out. Glad to hear your still cooking. Keep it up. The last time I had ca, I was the baking queen. Baked so much all the neighbors were overloaded.LOL This time, I'm way too tired to do that much baking, so only small amounts.I'll be thinking of you on Wednesday.
Peace and healing to you..
Lisha
Just wanted to add my best wishes and prayers for your final chemo! Your fight has been an inspiration to me and I fully expect to hear about your remission success as time goes on.
Good luck with your final chemo. I relate to your anemia issues. Had that several times in the past. Well, now I have issue with low WBCs. Now that I get paranoid dealing with germs. My doc said no three MMM - no metro, no malls and no movies by not going there. Makes me think that I should not go to restaurants. Geez, me not going anywhere... I am going nuts!! I find myself using paper towels touching somethings that I know are real dirty around here, ha ha.
