    Tibet Natural Disaster
Tibet Natural Disaster Fundraiser Dinner on Sunday plus starting to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. (According the the Jewish calendar, our 30th is on Sunday; according to the common calendar, it's Sept. 14.)

PS - my friend Clara is in Spain for the weekend to watch the Vuelta a Espana in Burgos, and to gather more authentic condiments for her next paella!

    Plans for the w/end...
    Hi Pepebcn,

My youngest son has been invited for a sleepover at his best friends house....My husband is working all day until late into the night on Saturday and that means I have the house to myself. I shall relax, play music that I like, eat nice things and watch the X Factor on TV

(I don't think they have the X Factor in the US? Maybe in Spain?)...For anyone that doesn't know what it is, it's similar to American Idol. Simon Cowell is one of the judges.

    city fest san diego
I'm hoping to attend the City Fest San Diego 2010 with Luis Palau (a Christian evangelist). They also will have a funzone, BMX and Motocross demonstrations, as well as a few different music artists performing. It's free to get in, so I'd like to take my girls. My husband is taking my son and a couple of his friends waterskiing, so I thought I'd try to find something fun to do with the girls. The City Fest is in Mission Bay Park, just a ways north from Sea World. I might even take the Coaster train down from Oceanside (I live in Fallbrook, inland from Oceanside, CA about 15 miles). My kids have never been on a train before.

    Swap meet, Open Monument Day.....
    "Open Monumentendag
European Heritage Days in the Netherlands

The Open Monumentendag (Heritage Days) is designed to bring people into contact with the historic environment, and to encourage interest in and understanding of historical monuments and the need for their preservation. During the Open Monumentendag - every second weekend of September - thousands of historical buildings and sites (about 4,000) are open to the public free of charge. Besides opening their doors, many locations also organise on-site activities like exhibitions, music and guided tours. Each year around 80 to 85 percent of Dutch municipalities participate in the Open Monumentendag, organised by local committees. In recent years around 900,000 visitors have participated annually, making the Open Monumentendag one of the Netherlands' premier cultural events."

    Some Quiet Time
Our daughter and granddaughter (who just got out of Army and staying with us for a couple weeks) is going away for the weekend, so hubby and I are going to have some quiet time just the two of us :) Yipee. Love the kids and grandkids but after having them gone out of the house for a couple years we look forward to that quiet time again.

Pepe, have fun at the beach. Our weather isn't took great either. It's getting colder and it's supposed to rain tomorrow.

    Have fun!
