    This weekend...
I will be looking at my oldest daughter's new apartment that she is going to have while doing her master's degree (Saturday). I am not sure about Sunday - maybe swimming or sailing. Last Saturday was my daughter's outdoor plays in our backyard - well it rained (of course) so we had to set up inside. Somehow we were able to squeeze about 50 audience members into our house. The last 3 nights my husband + I have watched the 3 "Bourne" movies - I had seen each of them before but they made so much more sense when seen back to back.

Leaving on a jet plane -
Yep, Saturday at 12:00 noon EST leaving on a jet plane for Vegas. George is feeling really good, used his work miles for free tickets and snagged free hotel room so we are off to the foothills north of Vegas and then Henderson for 5 days of relaxation and of course a little gambling and to see a show, Jersey Boys.

George really wants to go and after all he has been through is so looking forward to it, he is like a kid on Christmas morning. Time to forget about the cancer if only for a few days.

    Hugs - Tina

I hope you + George have a fantastic time! You both totally deserve it. I hope what happens in Vegas doesn't stay there - I'd love to hear hope your trip is. Enjoy!

    I'm getting married in
I'm getting married in October so I'm finishing up preparations for that. Feels good to think about something other than cancer and scheduling treatment appointments!

    Escargot
    Hi Pepe,

Escargot is one food I have not yet experienced; I see the snails in our garden + can't picture them on my plate. I think of it as a French dish; is it popular in Spain also? What are the rest of your weekend plans?

    Have a wonderful time!
It is so important to get a break from cancer and go live and have fun and just forget about it! Have a great time!

And maybe you'll win big and not have to worry about medical bills again too. ;)

    No plans yet
But this is our last weekend with no kids. One daughter has moved back home for senior year of college, but is gone to Canada right now. My youngest son is gone to his dad's for the week. My other son just moved in to the dorms for freshman year of college, and my oldest daughter is off leading another Trek America tour. So until September 2 this is an adults' only house. I think I'll run around naked tomorrow! ;)

    Nothing special here...
my husband is going to fix his pickup with his nephew.

I'll be with my mom... she's still in the hospital with cardiac issues...

Sunday, Dave is working so I'll be bored outta my skull -- I'll go visit my mom again. :)

    Love and hugs,

    Holly

    A day with our granddaughters
We are taking our granddaughters (ages 2 and 3) to a petting zoo tomorrow. Pam has a PET/CT scheduled for Tuesday and this will help take her mind off of things. The girls adore her and she tries her best to spoil them :)

    Barking!
Bill and I are taking our oldest grandson, Owen, to participate with us in Bark For Life. This is a fundraising event put on by the American Cancer Society. People can bring their dogs, and it's a fun morning to raise money. We're walking in memory of Owen's dog, Maddie, who died from a cancerous tumor.

    *hugs*

    I LOVE escargot!!!!
It is the BEST!!! Of course, everyone with you must also eat it, with the garlic so strong of an aroma!

I remember going to an Italian restaurant in San Diego with some friends. We all had escargot, in a delicious garlic butter sauce (never mind the calories...rofl!). After we left the restaurant, we passed an ice cream parlor, and went in for a bit of dessert. The server looked at us, and wrinkled her nose....the garlic was still so strong on our breath...

    Thanks for the fond memory...

    hahahahaha !
You are right Kathi about garlic but is delicious isn't ?
Here we do it a little breaded ,just a beat on the hole of the shell , garlic and parsley! This is the way they do it in Provence.
