Got the game plan

Got the game plan. Go in the 25th. He cuts the cancer part of the rectum out. If it looks like a good reconnection he is out of there. If his gut feel is the reconnection needs a rest, he will put me on a temp bag. He said I would be in for 4 to 5 days.

When he did the first transanal surgery on me in 08, he cut over ¾ around the rectum with no problem. I think he will pull this off with out bagging me.

Sure as hell am not looking forward to the “retraining” of my gut for pooping. My hope is I just get the MPS problem for a while.
You gotta do what you gotta do.

    Good plan
I hope you can avoid the bag. Just in case, you should really enjoy the crapper for the next week. I mean really ENJOY it. Take the paper, a magazine, maybe a cup of coffee.

Wow that doc is not wasting any time, good, get it done and over with and on to healing. Like you said you just have to do what you have to do. Now go make nice to the wife! I will be thinking of you both as we look forward to celebrating another June 19th!

    I'm with Roger
I'd just sit for a extra 10 min for the next week. Not done till you get the halo butt thing going. Glad you have a plan of attack!!

    Good, Kerry.
Sounds good, Kerry! Now you know what's going to happen, and you can be ready for it. I feel like your doctor will be able to pull this off in great fashion.

I called it 'everyone into the pool'....lol!
Thanks for the update...you know, I don't miss my rectum much...my descending colon has risen to the job, and does quite well, unless I flood it with cashews, which I have been doing for the past week...ROFL!

    Hugs, Kathi
