Hope everyone can have a Happy day and remember all they have to be Thankful for. Each day we have is a gift. May we all forget about our cancer and enjoy the good food, family and friends. I hope many of you will making some special memories for your children and grandchildren. It was wonderful to read Linda's tradition of eating pumpkin in the morning, since she would not have room for it later. Her grandchildren will always remember that.

I will be boarding the cruise ship in Barcelona, and will be gone for two weeks. Hope to put my cancer on the very very back burner and enjoy the relaxation of the cruise, and all the sightseeing. In peace and caring.

Have a wonderful time on your trip. I think all of us will find this a special Thanksgiving with many things to give thanks for. I am anxiously awaiting my grandchildren who will decorate the table, make special place cards for everyone and display their culinary expertise in the kitchen. They are between 3 and 10 - five of them will be here along with one 17 year old who will want to be with the "adults".

Found out today that my DH's aortic stenosis has progressed to the point that surgery will soon be indicated. We have been married for 51 years and have shared a lot of things over the years. Our health problems are something we never thought about when we were younger. We appreciate every day we have left together.

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy your trip. Make every moment something to add to your memory book.

Tomorrow there will be four generations starting to get ready for Thanksgiving. Even though my granddaughter is only two months old I feel very blessed that my Mom, daughter, DIL and myself are all going to be here. Wow, four generations!

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all....

    MIND, BODY AND SOUL!

    Hugs,

    Marge

    P.S. I've been married 30 years today...

    Throwing caution to the wind.
    Jill, Darlin',

I still have end of sentence punctuation issues among other things.

I say, throw caution to the wind and have pie with ice cream! Heck, why not have seconds while you're at it? Have very much enjoyed having you on here, and I will get around to emailing you about "my story", after the holidays are over.

On the bright side, my daughter tested negative for all those death inviting diseases they thought she might have, and though she is still very ill and in constant pain, I'll occasionally look at her standing still, and notice she has the broadest grin ever on her face. When I raise my eyebrow, a mother's way of asking what's happenin', she'll just look at me and say, "I'm not going to die, I'm just going to be in pain and be very limited in what I can eat and where I can go. Compared to death, that's nothing"

I guess once you've been to the brink of the end on that cliff, living with whatever there is, is a reason for joy.

Happy Thanksgiving for us all, and be happy knowing that one can step back from the brink and anything that's left is a reason for joy,

    Love to all,

    Claudia

Happy Anniversary. It has come around fast hasn't it? Remember when we were not sure any of this would happen again... the anniversary, the birthday, the traditions... and we are STILL HERE. Marge I wish you and your husband a great anniversary and then on to a great Thanksgiving. Hugs.

I was not aware your Daughter has been sick...I hope she is on the path of recovery...

It is so important to keep the faith and have a positive attitude...

Easy to say and sometimes harder to pull off..

Happy T day to you both..

Ahhhhh, to be in New York City
    Jill,
My dad used to tell us tales of going to the city and sleeping in doorways. I know it sounds rather odd, he wasn't homeless, he just wanted to be there and didn't want to leave his home to do it. He was a man with a very broad base in the possibilities of life and an adventurous spirit. I would love to have tea with you and talk the New York Talk, you know what I mean jelly bean????
Got any comfy doorways nearby???? ; ~ )

Really miss the village, used to hang out in The Black Cat. don't even know if that's still there or not. I was born while my parents were living at 222 Sullivan Street, at least I think that was the address. I went back there once and seems there was a wrought iron swing in gate. I digress, again.

I whole heartedly agree with the live life sentiment you spoke of.

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!!
Even after another disappointing oncologist's visit today, I am still full of thankfulness and joy at Thanksgiving. My grandkids were anxiously awaiting my return home from the doctor, ready to bake pies with me. And we DID! 2 pumpkin, a blueberry, and a cherry! My kitchen was trashed with flour and Crisco in every floor tile crevice and flat surface, and their crust-crimping edges are not picture-perfect, but we had a wonderful time and upheld our annual tradition. And the normalcy of the afternoon softened the blow of the morning doctor visit, and I am at peace. I wish you all peace and joy and lots of TURKEY!!

Enjoy! Put this cancer thing away for tomorrow and just pretend that you never ever heard the word cancer. Just for the day!
