KRAS mutanted Help

I have read what hasn't worked for kras mutated gene, and I know what didn't work for me. Can anyone tell me of a FDA approved treatment that they have had that is or has worked for them ???? I'm sure this list is short if it exist at all. Please let me know.

    Published research demonstrates that colorectal cancers with mutated KRAS genes do not respond to anti-EGFR monoclonal antibodies such as Erbitux®. However, researchers believe that Imprime PGG® uses the body's own immune system by engaging a type of white blood cell called the neutrophil to fight cancer cells that are coated with antibodies like Erbitux. Such a strategy might be effective against tumors regardless of whether KRAS is mutated or not. Preclinical studies indicate that Imprime PGG® in combination with Erbitux® can reduce tumor growth.

    The open-label, 56-patient KRAS-mutated colorectal cancer study is being conducted at three U.S. locations. Patient enrollment begins this week. All subjects will receive Imprime PGG® at 4 mg/kg weekly plus standard doses of Erbitux®. Tumor measurements and determination of tumor responses for this study will be performed according to Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST)

    Thanks for your info. but I can't find where or if trials from the link. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or what. The article is very interesting.

    Trials have already begun
    Hi Cyndi, the article is from a few months ago. The trials were at a number of major hospitals. It still offers some hope to those of you who have not had good results with the usual meds.

    I believe you previously had 4FU and Xeloda. Did that include Oxi? I'm not up on the older meds.

    Diane thanks for getting
    Diane thanks for getting back to me. In the last 2 years I have had 2 ab colon surgeries a colostomy, Folfox4, xeloda, and CPT11 (Irinotecan). They didn't work hence the looking at trials and keeping up with Lisa and Dr. Cantrell. I'm hanging in there and am fighting as hard as I can And Praying A LOT. But you know it is hard to switch hats from I'm dying (and all about cancer)to live life and enjoy my many blessings. You know good days and bad days. I am trying to make a lot more good days for me and my family, in between what is to happen next. This board of people has been sooooo wonderful and good for me because of the all the opinions, concern and blessing. So see I have been given a good gift.
